Her husband, Lateef Adedimeji said in the interview with Wash FM that even when he thought that he had the money to produce LISABI, it is not up to what he thinks, and he told his wife mobimpe that this is plan and he was ready to do it, but the wife responded to him that nobody can stop or even change his mind whenever he wish to do something. So, he said they should do the project then.

She wrote: we spent quality time with the media sharing the insights into how we came about the project LISABI and some of the challenges we faced.
It was amazing to hear from the audience as we fielded questions, ranging from production, to our choices of cast and crew, to funding and marketing.
We can’t afford to watch our history go into extinction , this is why we have decided to dig deep, research hard and re-tell our story for the emerging generations to learn from.
This is just the beginning, biopics will be a norm with us @alnotions_ and we can only promise you quality… ONLY QUALITY . LISABI – THE UPRISING is still streaming on Netflix.
Insidenaija recalled that Lateef Adedimeji discussed his decisions with his spouse, MoBimpe, who serves as the film’s executive producer, “Lisabi.” In a recent interview on ‘Nollywood on Radio,’
Adedimeji revealed that selecting Mr. Macaroni for the character of Sokenu and Ibrahim Chatta for Olori Ilari was a planned decision.
He noted that from the beginning of the script’s development, he had envisioned Ibrahim Chatta for the part, as his research indicated that no one else could portray the character as well.
MoBimpe mentioned that she has always wanted to collaborate with Chatta, and her role in ‘Lisabi’ made that dream a reality.
Adedimeji shared that casting Mr. Macaroni, as Sokenu, Lisabi’s best friend, was an obvious choice because they have great chemistry on screen.
He pointed out that since they met while filming ‘Ayinla,’ where they played close roles, they have become very close friends, which enhances the connection between their characters in the film.
Supporting her husband’s point, MoBimpe added that Mr. Macaroni is not just a co-actor but also a good friend of her husband, which was evident when he served as the best man at their wedding.
